Rules your translation must meet
USCIS asylum office (affirmative asylum): a complete English translation plus the translator’s signed certification of competence and accuracy — 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3).
Immigration court (defensive asylum, withholding of removal, CAT): 8 CFR 1003.33 — an English translation and a certification signed by the translator that he or she is competent and the translation is true and accurate.
Notarization: not required by USCIS or the immigration court. Every word, stamp, seal and handwritten note is translated; nothing is summarized.

Frequently asked
Do I need a certified translation for my asylum application (Form I-589)?
Yes. Every document you file with Form I-589 that is not in English must come with a complete English translation and the translator’s signed certification that the translation is accurate and that the translator is competent in both languages (8 CFR 103.2(b)(3) for USCIS). We include that signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy with every asylum translation.
Is your translation accepted in immigration court (EOIR)?
Yes. Immigration courts follow 8 CFR 1003.33: a foreign-language document must be filed with an English translation and a certification signed by the translator stating that he or she is competent to translate it and that the translation is true and accurate. Our certificate states exactly that. Notarization is not required by USCIS or the immigration court.
How much does asylum translation cost?
$25 per page, flat, for the whole case — any number of pages and files, one certified packet and one invoice. You see the price before you pay. Order on the case translation page.
How fast can you translate a large asylum packet?
After you upload, we review your files and confirm the ready date by email. If your interview or court hearing is close, write the date in the order notes and we will plan around it. Order early: courts and asylum offices set deadlines for filing evidence before the hearing.
Which countries and languages do you translate for asylum cases?
Any document written in Russian or Uzbek — from Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia or Moldova. Soviet-era and handwritten documents included.
Can you translate Telegram, WhatsApp or text messages for my case?
Yes. Send screenshots; we translate each message with the sender, date and time as shown, and certify the translation like any other document.
Is my case kept confidential?
Yes. Your files are seen only by our translation team, used only for your translation, and deleted on request. We never contact anyone about your case.
Do you fill out Form I-589 or give legal advice?
No. We are a translation company, not a law firm. We translate and certify your documents; your attorney or accredited representative prepares the application.
