Решение суда — certified, notarized and delivered in 24 hours from $25 a page ($35 with notarization).
Certified English translation of the Russian court decision (Решение суда), accepted by USCIS, courts, universities and consulates. $25 per page certified for USCIS, or $35 per page with notarization, delivered in 24 hours.
What this document looks like
A court decision (решение), ruling (определение) or criminal judgment (приговор) names the court, the judge, the case number and the parties, sets out the facts and reasoning, and ends with the operative part (резолютивная часть). Many carry a stamp showing the date the decision entered into legal force.
We translate Russian-language documents from Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Belarus, Ukraine and Moldova, including Soviet-era records that are still in everyday circulation across all of them.
What has to appear in the translation
A certified translation must be complete — not the important parts, all of it. For this document in particular:
- Court name, case number, judge and every party, exactly as written
- The full reasoning, not only the operative part: a certified translation must be complete
- The date of entry into legal force (вступило в законную силу) and the certifying stamp
- Every page, including pages that carry only stamps or signatures
Who needs this translated — by purpose
One certified Russian to English court decision translation covers each of these.
For USCIS: divorce, custody and adoption
A court divorce decision proves a prior marriage ended; custody and adoption decisions support petitions for children. USCIS accepts a certified translation: a complete English translation plus the translator’s signed certificate of accuracy and competence (8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)). Notarization is not required.
For N-400 and I-485 when there was an arrest or charge
USCIS asks for court records showing how a case ended. A Russian court document needs a complete certified translation.
For asylum (I-589)
Court decisions, summonses and judgments are often key evidence in an asylum claim. Every page is translated in full.
Also used for
U.S. family courts, recognition of foreign judgments, inheritance and property matters.

Frequently asked
How much does it cost to translate a Russian court decision?
$25 per page for a certified translation (translation + signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy — what USCIS requires), or $35 per page certified and notarized (a separate commissioned New York notary notarizes the translator’s signature). Most court decisions are several pages.
Does USCIS require the translation to be notarized?
No. 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3) requires a full English translation plus the translator's signed certification of completeness, accuracy and competence. Notarization is not required by USCIS. If you need it — consulates, courts and schools abroad often do — choose the notarized tier at $35 a page, where a separate commissioned New York notary notarizes the translator's signature.
Can I send a photo taken with my phone?
Yes. Make sure all four corners are in the frame, nothing covers a seal, and you photograph the reverse side as well if anything is printed or stamped there.
How fast will I get it?
24 hours as standard. Rush 12-hour service is available for an extra $15 per page.
Do I need to submit the original along with the translation?
Yes. The regulation requires the foreign-language document to accompany the translation. We deliver the packet already assembled in the correct order — copy of the original, translation, signed certificate.
Do you translate the whole court decision or just the final part?
The whole document. USCIS requires a complete translation, so the reasoning, the operative part and every stamp are translated. Court decisions are priced per page: $25 certified, 24 hours for up to 3 pages.
Can you translate a Russian divorce court decision for a green card?
Yes. When a divorce was granted by a court, the decision (often with the date it entered into legal force) proves the prior marriage ended. We translate it in full with a signed certificate of accuracy.
