Certified English translation of the Arabic passport (جواز سفر), for USCIS, courts, universities and credential evaluators. $25 per page certified for USCIS, or $35 per page with notarization included, delivered in 24 hours. Translated by a professional Arabic→English translator who signs the Certificate of Translation Accuracy.

What this document looks like

A passport (جواز سفر) from an Arabic-speaking country. The pages that usually need translating are the ones with Arabic text: the data page, endorsements and observations, and entry and exit stamps. If part of the page is already in English, tell us in the order notes — USCIS asks for a full translation, so we translate every Arabic word on the page.

Your passport is also the reference for every other translation in your filing: we spell names in your other documents the way the passport does.

What has to appear in the translation

USCIS rule, quoted in full:

“Any document containing foreign language submitted to USCIS shall be accompanied by a full English language translation which the translator has certified as complete and accurate, and by the translator’s certification that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language into English.” — 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3)

“Full” means all of it. Our practice for this document:

  • Name exactly as in the passport’s English fields; on Saudi/Gulf passports the order given name, father, grandfather, family name is kept
  • Dates exactly as written — a Hijri date (هـ) keeps its form, with the Gregorian equivalent added in a bracketed translator’s note
  • Every number in Eastern Arabic digits (٠١٢٣٤٥٦٧٨٩) converted digit by digit and double-checked
  • Every stamp and endorsement, with its date and place, if the passport is used to prove travel history
  • Seals and stamps rendered as [Seal: …] with their text, plus handwritten notes and the reverse side

Send the reverse side. Corrections, re-registrations, endorsements and later stamps live on the back of the page far more often than people expect. If the back is blank, tell us it is blank — that way we both know it was checked.

Who needs this translated

Identity evidence in almost any immigration filing, proof of residence and travel history, asylum claims establishing presence in a place at a time, and banking or licensing where a foreign ID must be shown in English.

What you receive

  1. A copy of the Arabic original, so the packet satisfies the requirement that the foreign document accompany the translation
  2. The English translation, laid out to mirror the structure of the original, with every seal, stamp, number and handwritten note accounted for and anything unreadable marked [illegible]
  3. A signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy — notarization is the $35 tier

Delivered as a print-ready PDF within 24 hours. Hard copies with wet ink and an embossed seal ship the same day for $15.

Frequently asked

How much does it cost to translate an Arabic passport?

$25 per page for a certified translation (translation + signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy — what USCIS requires), or $35 per page certified and notarized (a separate commissioned New York notary notarizes the translator’s signature). Most passport pages are a single page, so the usual total is $25 — $35 if you need the notary seal.

Is $25–$35 a page more expensive than other certified translation services?

For the certified translation USCIS asks for, our $25 a page sits in the middle of the market and includes the signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy that some lower prices leave out. For a notarized page — what courts, consulates and many schools want — $35 covers the translation, the certificate, notarization of the translator’s signature by a New York notary and 24-hour delivery on single documents, which is below every provider in our comparison that charges a separate notary fee (prices checked September 10, 2026).

Does USCIS require the translation to be notarized?

No. 8 CFR 103.2(b)(3) requires a full English translation plus the translator's signed certification of completeness, accuracy and competence. Notarization is not required by USCIS. If you need it — consulates, courts and schools abroad often do — choose the notarized tier at $35 a page, where a separate commissioned New York notary notarizes the translator's signature.

How is the name spelled in English?

As in the passport. The same Arabic name can be spelled many ways in English; send a photo of the passport page or type the spelling in the order notes.

Can I send a photo taken with my phone?

Yes. Make sure all four corners are in the frame, nothing covers a seal, and you photograph the reverse side as well if anything is printed or stamped there.

How fast will I get it?

24 hours as standard. Rush 12-hour service is available for an extra $15 per page.
